I spotted this on an app website i visited yesterday under FAQ. This is marketing only; users are not asking, “Was this vibecoded?” if the app solves something for them. A line-by-line human-coded app can look ugly, be very imperfect, like a vibecoded app. And it can be the other way round also.
And what if a developer with 20 years of experience is “vibecoding” – how would we classify such an app?
It is just terms and phrases – vibecoding, agentic coding/engineering, working with agents and subagents,… let’s say “built with AI” – some use it to a maximum extent and do not look at code; others review everything AI creates.
What counts is the result and users seeing value in it. Declaring something is not vibecoded is not convincing; from my point of view, I would reply: Why not?
