The buzz around OpenAI potentially launching a social network has sparked an interesting question for me: What would a social network built from the ground up with AI really offer its users? How would it carve out its own space compared to “classic” platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, or Bluesky?
Typically, social networks rely on users to generate content – whether it’s text, images, or videos – by providing some form of input. AI features are often added as an enhancement, not as a core component.

- And so on.

It wouldn’t stop there, of course; the platform would excel at connecting you with like-minded individuals. No matter your niche interests – even those “10 weird niches” – AI would help you find your community.
And OpenAI, with its arsenal of AI tools for audio, video, text, and image creation, would be perfectly positioned to launch this kind of multi-media, multi-format AI-powered social network.
