For setting up MetroOSC with your PC you need some additional Software: Virutal MidiPorts with MidiYoke or LoopBe. And  a software which is receiving the Midi Messages from the network.

MidiYoke

MidiYoke:  MidiYoke creates virtual MidiPorts so you can connect  your Music Software with MetroOSC. A good alternative is LoopBe1. Check the Link for Installation Details

UDP Midi Port

For receiving the Midi Messages you have to download a simple programm which is routing the UDP port to your Midi Channel.

Free: this Programm is free. It is from an Windows 8 App but works also very good with MetroOSC.

ipMidi: ipMidi is the best solution but costs around 70$

Connect

Your Windows Phone hast to be in the same WLAN with your Host PC. The IP adress in the MetroOSC App has to match with the one from your PC.

If you have no wlan you can create one with your host pc (and adhoc network).

Start UDP Midi Software

Choose correct Midi Port where you want to send the Midi data

Choose the correct UDP Port where you want to receive Messages from MetroOSC.
